I was from an orthodox family in India.I was never initially interested in the Word of God and the Son,Christ.I was a bit crazy when I was young,thinking of abstract things like the meaning of life, and the fear of death and the fact would all things come to an end then?
Little did I know that by following the perfect path, we would get everlasting life.
It all started 9 years back,when i came accross a comic book,which , in essence, showed the life of Christ,as mentioned in the Gospels. Well, I was a kid then, and it didnt make much sense to me, except the fact that here was a wonderful person named Christ, who did miracles,brought back people from the dead, was righteous in every aspect..perfect,to be short.What was more , He was crucified, but he rose from the dead, and went to heaven. Truly He was much more than just a mere being....indeed He was God.
That was the beginning, but I never realized all this then, I took it as a mere fable but the idea never left me.It kept on growing, and I went over more and more material on this. Then i got my first copy of the Bible ( New International Bible) from my uncle from CA,USA.
Well, I started going over it. Then when I was staying in my dorm during winter break, I became increasing curious ....other friends of mine had been talking to me about Christ and His message; most important among whom I would mention Jimmy Darby and John Daniel Holland II.
They were really instrumental in making me see truth.I was searching the net for proof on the truth on the Bible.Then i had been going to Impact and attending Bible study sessions.When I went over the evidence, it was overwhelming. I was convinced of the truth.However, more than that was the fact that there was something within me, telling me to accept Christ as the Saviour.
In my entire life, I have never felt so much ....I cant describe the feeling, it just was the way it was....and I could actually feel the Holy Spirit working on me.Everything seemed of no value....except God and Christ. I was certain of it. Now, I decided to ask my friend John Daniel Holland II ( JD, for short, as i usually call him....he is a really cool person , and a great player of racquetball; but overall, he is probably one of the most devout Christian i have ever seen, God Bless him.)
Well, the proof was there,and now i had immense faith, so i decided to be a Christian. Jimmy Darby was another very influential person in this regard. He is currently discipling me how to follow a true Christian life. I must say,these two people,JD Holland and Jimmy Darby,I feel as if God destined them to show me the truth. It was much much more than worldly things,it was awesome!!!
That, in a very short way,is my testimony.All I can say is, God does work through people and He loves us all.He is great. And I am very certain I made the right decision in this regard.
I would pray for everyone in this world, my brothers in Christ and alos for non-believers, so that they can see the truth and be delivered,like me. I pray for them.God Bless us all.I would urge all fellow believers to boast
in nothing earthly, but to boast only in Christ,and the fact that i know Him to be the Saviour.
Which reminds me,I would urge all my fellow Christian brothers to pray for all of us,who dedicate their lives to spread the Word of God and of the Son,Christ.
JD is right now in Mexico,on a mission trip and me and Jimmy along with a group are going on another trip to Boston,during Spring Break.
I would ask all my brothers in Christ to pray for us,so that we may win back more souls from the evil one.We need to do all we can to spread the Word of God and I encourage all my fellow brothers in Christ to do the same. I bless all of them in the name of Christ,Jesus; the Son of God.
I am just overwhelmed by the power of God, which is why I summarized this testimony as ""from everlasting to everlasting,thou art God"".
