As a child, I grew up attending church and learning about who God is. I learned facts about God and other characters in the Bible. As I grew older, I began to seek answers to questions like ""What happens when I die?"" I became afraid of dying and wanted to find peace in my life. Although I was only 9 years old, I realized that without Christ in my life, death was not only a physical death, but also an eternal separation from God.
As I searched for answers to the emptiness in my life I found that nothing could fill the void in my life, but God. At the age of 9, I decided to trust God to fill this void in my life. I recognized that I was not not perfect and that I did things in my life that weren't right and they did not please God. I also realized that it was only by trusting in God and acknowledging that He paid the price for my sin, that I could know and experience PEACE in my life. It was at that time that I realized how much God loved me and cared about every concern that I have.
It has been 28 years since I committed my life to Christ. I have found that not matter how difficult life has been, God is bigger! He has brought HOPE, JOY, and PEACE to my life. I have found His teachings to be true and relevant to my daily life and He has always been FAITHFUL.
Earlier in my life, death was something that brought fear, but now it brings PEACE because I know where I will spend eternity - in heaven!
